Overheard today:
Emmie - I just love my blanket. Riley, I just love my blanket.
(Riley doesn't even look up.)
Emmie - Logan, I just love my blanket.
(Logan ignores her.)
Emmie - Riley, I just love you.
(Still nothing.)
Emmie - Logan, I just love you.
(Nothing.)
Emmie - I just love my mom, and my dad, and Riley, and Logan, and my blanket.
(At this point I had to come in and say "I love you too, Em!" and Ri and Logan finally answered...)

Awww, that's precious of Emmie. Nin will say, "Mommy, can you talk? Are you listening to me?" when I don't respond - which makes me feel like a world-class jerk!
