Snow! We actually drove in snow today on the way to the wedding! I had flip-flops on.

Vacation

Well we've driven ourselves clear across the country to Ohio. One of the most fascinating aspects of this trip is the variance of accents in America. We've come from deep South to more colonial South through West Virginia (!) to Ohio. At a rest stop in Pennsylvania I heard a great New York accent and felt right at home. Today we actually drove through snow. Unfortunately, I only had my flip-flops on, since I have apparently forgotten how cold the North is. My memories don't include numb toes.

The kids saw the ocean - it was 78 degrees at Jeff's parents - and Logan was indignant that we wouldn't let him swim. The only people in the water had wetsuits on...I guess we're mean old parents now.

Oh, my Emmie

I was sitting with Emmie on the couch looking at her and rubbing her head, and had this convo with her:

Me - You have pretty eyebrows.
Em - Yeah.
Me - And such beautiful eyes.
Em - Yeah.
Me - And a cute little nose.
Em - And a mouth, and a chin and a neck and lots of blood inside me. And eyeballs.
