I was just putting the kids to bed, and Riley got this concerned look on her face.
Ri - Mom?
Me - Yes?
Ri - These girls at the park tonight, well, they were saying a bad word.
(Here's where you put the "parent face" on and get ready for whatever "bad word" the kid has heard.)
Me - Okay. What was it?
Ri - Well, they kept saying "Girls go to college to get more money. Boys go to Jupiter to get more stupider."
(This is where the parent is supposed to talk about why we don't call people stupid and how that's really unkind and whatnot.)
I laughed. I doubled over and laughed and laughed and laughed. It's the funniest thing I've heard in days. Now, this is a very sleep-deprived hormonal postpartum person we're talking about. It just cracked me up.

I did go back and do the speech thing, but Riley couldn't get over the fact that I laughed like that.
